Sandal Kanzashi

More kanzashi.  I just can’t stop making them.  They really are addictive, and I love giving them as gifts.  These are for my friend Pat who lives at the beach.  And loves the color red.  I put shoe clips on them so she can wear them on her sandals.  I started with 2” squares and used the pleated petal technique.

If you would like to learn how to make these flowers (and make one for your very own) I will be doing the program for my ASG group in September.  Come join me.

Would love to join you for the demo, ASG in No. California! Are these fairly simple to make?

Irene, thanks for the comment. These are very simple to make and only get better with practice. I recommend you get a copy of the book Kanzashi in Bloom. Check out my previous post under the Kanzashi tab (in the right sidebar); I give details about the book and a link to a vid
eo which shows how to make one of the flower forms.

Just had to purchase the Nancy Ota’s Screen Play pattern and finally found the Pet Screen in colors online. Can't wait to make one! Thanks for the beautiful picture of it!

Irene, you will want to make more than one! Please send a picture when you've finished your bag.
